Vegan Berry Breakfast Smoothie

This healthy and filling breakfast smoothie is full of protein and antioxidants. It’s simple, easy, and only takes a blitz through a blender to prepare, perfect for busy mornings.

This smoothie is the perfect in a rush breakfast. It can be prepped in advanced and only take a few minutes to whip up. I’ve been making this on and off for the past year now and I still am blown away by how good it tastes.

What I love about this recipe is the nutrient you get from it. The banana’s and the oats are there to up the calories and keep you fuller for longer. The berries add a nice sweet and tangy flavour while ensuring that your body in getting plenty of antioxidants. The soy milk and the hemp seeds give you a serious protein boost in the morning. The only thing you’re missing is some greens which can be easily added in a handful of spinach or de-stemmed kale.

If you’re allergic to soy milk (or just don’t like the taste) it can be substituted for any other plant milk and I have to recommend oat milk for that.

If you wanted to make this gluten free just make sure that you’re getting oats that are gluten free, they’re available at most popular supermarket chains.

Berry Breakfast Smoothie

A sweet and filling breakfast smoothie.

You can use any plant milk of choice but I recommend soy milk for that protein boost.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 1 cup oats (rolled or quick)
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berried
  • 3 tbsp passion fruit pulp
  • 2 tbsp hulled hemp seeds

Directions

Step 1: Combine all ingredient into a blender until smooth. Then enjoy.
